LAUSET is scheduled to begin operations and admit its first cohort of students in August 2025. Admissions for diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs are currently open.

LAUSET offers diploma, bachelor's, and master's programs across key disciplines including Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Health Sciences, Oil & Gas Engineering, Agriculture & Environmental Sciences, and more. A complete list is available on our Programs page.

You can apply online through our official admissions portal or by visiting the university’s main office. Admission forms and guidelines are also available for download on the website.

LAUSET plans to offer merit-based and need-based scholarships starting in 2026. Stay tuned for announcements on scholarship programs and application requirements.

The main campus is located in Northern Uganda, strategically positioned to serve both urban and rural students, with future campuses planned in other regions.

LAUSET is committed to practical, innovation-driven education. We focus on producing graduates who are job creators and solution-seekers through hands-on learning, research, and community engagement—rooted in African values and global standards.

LAUSET has been officially registered as a higher education institution and is in the final stages of accreditation from Uganda’s National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). Full accreditation is expected before the August 2025 intake.

Yes. LAUSET will operate an Innovation Hub that supports student-led research, entrepreneurship, and prototype development. Funding and mentorship opportunities will be available.

Absolutely! Undergraduate students are encouraged to engage in faculty-led research and apply for innovation grants and internships through our Research & Innovation Office.
